Punctures repaired and wheels balanced on the rig, at our premises in Llwydcoed — two minutes out of Aberdare. If a tyre can be repaired safely, we repair it.
Most work is completed while you wait. Ring ahead with your tyre size and we will have it ready when you arrive.

The sensible option when you need one tyre today rather than a matched set. The legal minimum for a part worn is 2mm — comfortably above the 1.6mm you are permitted to drive on. Ask what you are getting and we will tell you the depth.
A nail in the middle of the tread will usually repair. A split sidewall or a cut on the shoulder never does — that is the rule, and we will show you which one you have.
Every wheel we fit goes on the balancer. Small weights correct the weight distribution around the rim, which is what stops the steering wheel or the seat vibrating at speed. An unbalanced wheel also scrubs the tread unevenly and shortens the life of a new tyre.
Front and rear tyres wear at different rates, so moving them round at intervals evens the wear out and gets more miles from a set. We rebalance as we go.
Part worn tyres have a poor reputation, most of it earned by people selling them badly. The rules are clear, and they are worth knowing before you buy from anyone.
Every tyre carries its size moulded into the outer sidewall, near the rim. It reads something like the code below — read yours to us over the telephone and we will price it there and then.

Your four tyres will not necessarily match — check the one you are replacing. If you cannot get to it, send us a photograph of the sidewall and we will read it off for you.
The minimum legal tread depth for a car in the UK is 1.6mm, across the centre three-quarters of the tread and around the whole circumference. New tyres start at around 8mm.

Driving on a tyre below 1.6mm carries a penalty of up to £2,500 and three penalty points — per tyre. Four illegal tyres is a twelve-point licence. If you are unsure, call in and we will put a gauge across all four.
Ramps are going in, and with them more of the mechanical work — servicing and repairs alongside the tyres. Call and ask what we can take on now; the list is growing.
South Wales Mobile Tyres
Our mobile arm fits the same new and part worn tyres wherever the vehicle is — at the roadside, on your driveway or in the car park at work. Answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Same number, same stock, same people.
We do not tow. The mobile service is roadside repair and tyre fitting only — no recovery vehicle, no trailer. If a vehicle needs lifting onto a flatbed we will say so on the telephone rather than leave you waiting.
